Check in/out information: check in time is 3:00 pm & check out time is 10:00 am. No early check ins please. During our peak seasons, some rentals may not be ready by 3:00 pm - we appreciate your patience. For late arrivals, arrangements can be made to pick up your key.
Holiday and peak season reservations require a minimum of a 3 or 4 night stay. At other times, 2 night minimum is required. We are currently unable to provide services for a 1 night reservation at this time.
To make a reservation, a one night's deposit is required. We accept visa, mastercard, discover, cash, traveler's checks or money orders. Balance of bill is due within 48 hours of check in. No personal checks are accepted. A confirmation will be sent upon receipt of payment.
Cancellation policy: cancellations made 30 days or less in advance of the scheduled arrival date will receive a reservation certificate. This certificate is good for 1 year form the scheuled arrival date & can be used only for the cabin originally reserved. Changes in arrival dates are allowed subject to availability, more than 2 weeks in advance of the scheduled arrival date. You may upgrade to a larger cabin/chalet, subject to availability, any time prior to check in. There is a $25 fee to change reservations. Downgrading to a smaller cabin/chalet is permitted if guests notify our office more than 7 days prior to their scheduled arrival date. Again, there is no fee. If your reservation is cancelled prior to 30 days of your arrivial date, a full refund will be issued minus a $50.00 processing fee.
All linens are provided including bed linens, bath towels, hand towels and washcloths. We also try to provide you with a starter supply of disposable items such as paper towels, toilet paper, and soap.
Lock boxes/keys: on the day of your arrival, you will receive an envelope containg directions to your cabin & a lock box code for your cabin. The key will be inside the lock box. The key must remain in the lock box at all times. There is a $100 fine if the key is not found in the lock box and guests may incur additional service call charges if maintenace personnel are unable to enter the cabin because the key was not in the lock box.
Fireplaces: from April 15th through October 1st are not to be used - please adhere to this policy or fines will be assessed.
Local telephone calls are free.
Long distance calls can be made using your personal credit card, calling card or by calling "'collect"".
GSMCR will not assume responsbility for road conditions to and from cabins during inclement weather. We do not refund due to road conditions.
Most of our cabins are "pet friendly" - this must be approved by management on a case to case basis - Effective October 1, 2007: there will be a $50 nonrefundable pet deposit. If additional cleaning is required a fee may be charged.
Each of our cabins are professionally treated for insects & pests on a regular basis - like most homes, bugs & other pests will occastionally find their way inside. GSMCR will not be responsible in these cases.
No rentals will be permitted to anyone under 21 years of age.
No house parties are permitted.
Reservations are made up to 2 years in advance begining every October 1st.
Upon your departure, our housekeeping staff will clean your cabin. We ask that you leave the kitchen clean, put the dishes in the dishwasher and start the machine, collect your trash & put it in garbage bags and all dirty towels and washcloths in the bathtub.
Please lock all windows & doors.
Hot tubs and covers - hot tubs will be inspected and cleaned after each rental. If any items such as food, alcohol, soaps or bath products, etc are found in the tub, you will be charged an excessive cleaning fee of $100. Damage to any cover will result in a $350 charge. covers should remain on the hot tub at all times when not in use. Children under the age of 16, pregnant women and persons with heart conditions or skin senitivities should not use the hot tubs.
Our rental homes are owned by private individuals. Therefore, we reserve the right to change rental assignments without prior notice or liability in the event of the sale or unavailability of the cabin/chalet.
